This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced academic to join UAL’s Academic Practice programme team.

As Senior Lecturer in Academic Practice, you will teach across a range of core units, supporting our UAL staff-participants to reflect on, enquire into and enhance their academic practices. The role requires that you lead several classes, taking responsibility for learning, teaching and assessment whilst observing and implementing the policies and procedures of the University and the Teaching, Learning and Employability Exchange.

Your profile
We are looking for a motivated academic with experience of designing and running staff development, who is passionate about arts education and has completed a PgCert in Academic Practice (or equivalent teaching qualification).
You will see diversity as central to arts education professional practice and have experience of course administration, pedagogic innovation, and assessment processes. You are excited about the possibilities of teaching research methodology and methods as a conduit to practice enhancement and personal transformation.
You will take a dynamic and research-informed approach to the PgCert and MA in Academic Practice, integrating an inclusive approach throughout. You will work confidently and collaboratively with your fellow practitioners and educators, facilitating learning groups and communicating in a range of learning environments, including teaching via online platforms, and on site.
