Applications are invited for a position in Environmental Genomics (grade 7 or 8, Teaching & Research) within Biological & Environmental Sciences. The successful candidate will be engaged in research investigating the interactions between organisms and their environments using genomic tools. Specific areas of focus for the appointment could include:
This appointment is expected to complement existing expertise in this area, exploit newly emerging research areas and facilitate linkages between genomics and other research interests both in BES and elsewhere in the Faculty. Areas of teaching to be delivered include advanced cell and molecular biology, including bioinformatics and omics, and ability to teach microbiology and/or evolutionary biology would be a distinct advantage. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake internationally excellent research, high quality relevant teaching, appropriate administration and other activities in Biological and Environmental Sciences, integrating with activities across the Faculty of Natural Sciences to support and develop the Faculty’s academic profile.
