For dissertations:

Supervision will be conducted either face-to-face at the Business School on the University’s Edgbaston campus, or by video-call with students, which could include Business School students attending our Singapore campus, or in field research locations. Each dissertation will require a minimum of ten hours of supervision time including five meetings, with sessions to be arranged by supervisor and student. This role also includes the marking of each dissertation and, if necessary, the marking of any resubmissions following a failed first attempt. There is also an expectation that supervisors will second mark an equal number of supervised dissertations in a cognate area. A fee of £500 will be payable for each postgraduate dissertation supervised and assessed, including second marking. Alternative rates are paid for undergraduate supervision.

For seminars:

We require seminar leaders for programmes primarily in our Edgbaston campus. There is also some potential for online seminar leadership. Seminars typically last either 1 or 2 hours in length, and provide an opportunity for students to discuss and analyse a range of new material, ideas and concepts together with the seminar leader. The rate of pay for seminars is competitive within the sector.

For marking:

We require marking support for a number of modules across the range of programmes we deliver. Markers will work closely with module leaders and the rest of the marking team to ensure an extremely high standard of marking. The rate of pay for marking is competitive within the sector.
