The Faculty of Social and Life Sciences at Wrexham Glyndwr University provides a learning environment which allows for students to engage with inspirational teaching and applied research excellence, enabling students to become graduates who transform lives, organisations and communities in their sector.

We have recently validated three WG Online MSc courses in Psychology. We anticipate recruitment of a large number of students to these well sought-after courses, facilitated by our external collaborators, Higher Education Partners. We are now in a position where we need tutors who can support students in an online learning environment in some cases develop the online content where required.

There are three routes available on the WG Online MSc Psychology;

  • MSc Psychology (100% online)
  • MSc in Educational Psychology (100% online)
  • MSc in Forensic Psychology (100% online)

Modules include:

  • Assessments in Psychology
  • Topics in Health Psychology
  • Personality at Work
  • Advanced Qualitative Methods
  • Advanced Quantitative Methods 
  • Emerging Technologies in Psychological Research
  • Topics in Neuroscience
  • Introduction to Educational Psychology
  • Child and Adolescent Development
  • Behaviour Disorders & Resilience
  • Special Needs & Giftedness
  • Introduction to Forensic Psychology
  • The Psychology of Criminal Conduct 
  • Mental Disorder and Crime
  • Forensic Psychology in the Criminal Justice Process
  • Research Proposal
  • Dissertation

The successful candidates will meet all, or most of, the following criteria:

A relevant degree (BSc), Master’s degree (MSc, MRes), PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Forensic Psychology, or Educational Psychology.

Teaching experience and qualification/recognition (or be willing to work towards).

Strong research design and analysis skills (quantitative and/or qualitative).

Prior experience of online delivery in higher education.

Ability to identify, develop, and share innovative teaching resources.

The ability to teach flexibly, adapting to the needs of a variety of learners.

Accuracy and precision in written presentation.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post
