The University Finance Office is seeking to appoint a Head of Finance to support Warwick Medical School (WMS). Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, you will support the achievement of Departmental strategic objectives through sound financial management and control and the provision of high-quality financial advice across all Departmental activities.
You will be a fully qualified accountant with experience of budgeting and monitoring complex activities. You should possess financial management experience preferably including some experience in the public/not for profit sector. Excellent command of financial software applications and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel spreadsheets is also essential, as is the ability to explain accounts to non-financial staff.
Established in 2000, WMS is home to the UK's largest graduate-entry MBChB programme. A £5,000 per annum market supplement (pro-rated and non-pensionable) is available for the successful applicant on provision of proof of current membership of an approved accounting body and evidence they hold the appropriate accountancy qualifications.
