Who You Will Work With
School of Mathematics and Statistics|Faculty of Engineering is one of the largest at University of Canterbury (UC) located in Christchurch, New Zealand and one of the fastest growing in student numbers. Our Applied mathematics group is active in Non-Newtonian fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, heat transfer, dynamical systems, ergodic Theory, scientific computation, optimisation, and mathematical epidemiology. What You Will Do
This is a continuing, full time (37.5 hours per week) position of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor / Professor. You will contribute to the vibrancy of the School’s research culture and teach into the Applied Mathematics programme. Your interests and research record includes Fluid Mechanics and/or Dynamical systems. You will undertake research and teaching responsibilities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as supervising research (postgraduate) students.

If applying for senior lecturer and above, you will also have demonstrated a background in supervising final year undergraduate projects, Masters and PhD students, an ability in collaborating with others, as well as an appetite for contributing to Departmental, Faculty, and University activities. If applying at Associate Professor or Professor Level you must provide evidence of effective Academic Leadership.
