A three-year postdoctoral position is available for exceptional candidates with high-level skills in experimental condensed matter physics.
Candidates should have a strong publication track record and demonstrated commitment to research excellence. Expertise in at least one of magnetic, magnetotransport, electronic, optical or thermal property measurement is essential.
This position forms part of an interdisciplinary team working with computer scientists on the EPSRC Programme Grant Digital Navigation of Chemical Space for Function to develop a new approach to materials design and discovery exploiting both machine learning and symbolic AI, demonstrated by the realisation of new functional materials.
The project combines experimental and computational approaches. We welcome applications from ambitious researchers with the skills to contribute to the project goal. The project environment will facilitate the development of new skills and the demonstration of creativity and leadership.
