ICAS is a global professional body for Chartered Accountants with over 23,000 Members and over 3,500 CA Student Members. We educate and assess through a programme of expert tuition, training and examination in accountancy and business, enabling our CA Students to find success wherever their ambition lies.
What is the job?
The Subject Manager (SM) is responsible for developing the content and syllabus across a subject portfolio within the CA qualification, ensuring it maintains our high-quality standards and remains relevant to the needs of the profession alongside a quality assurance focus on course programme delivery to support on-going content and course improvements.
The SM will be responsible for creation of relevant course materials to support the syllabus, including working collaboratively with the internal subject matter team and external subject matter experts, to deliver course content at the appropriate level, with context that meets the needs of the learner and delivery teams. The SM will work in close partnership with our digital team to ensure we deliver the most appropriate method of learning and EDI strategy and to support future growth.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the portfolio remains current and relevant and for the development, enhancement, creation and setting of syllabus content on an annual basis and through an ongoing 3-year roadmap cycle, maintaining regulatory requirements and implementing technical updates as often as is required.

Our Head Office is based in Edinburgh. We are working in a hybrid environment at present and as such you will need to be willing and able to travel when required to the Edinburgh office
