The School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Science is offering an outstanding opportunity to gain experience of university teaching while engaging in a fully-funded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) research programme.
The School comprises two departments: Electrical Engineering and Electronics (EEE) and Computer Science (CS), and we wish to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Electrical Engineering and Electronics (EEE) at 0.5 FTE over a five-year period.
You should expect that no less than 50% of your time will be made available for the pursuit of your part-time PhD studies over the same period. Most teaching and related activities will be concentrated into two semesters, and will cover support for practical and laboratory classes, project supervision and assessment activities.
As part of this Graduate Teaching Assistantship, the school will fund your part-time PhD tuition fees for five years, at UK fee level, subject to annual progress review.
