Are you looking for a varied role in a busy office environment? Do you have experience of providing high level secretarial/PA support in addition to having excellent communication skills? Can you work independently and proactively as part of a supportive and friendly team?
We are looking for an Institute Administrator to be responsible for the administrative function within one of the three Institute’s within the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. This will involve acting independently to support the Director of the Institute and academic staff within the Institute, for example monitoring Institute financial accounts, corresponding with individuals internal and external to the University on behalf of academic staff and providing the first point of contact for Postgraduate Research Students and all staff within the Institute. Additionally, you will coordinate Institute activities, such as meetings, seminars and training events.
You will have experience of providing high level secretarial support including diary management, as well as organising and supporting meetings and events. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as the ability to use your initiative to handle and solve problems efficiently and professionally.
