Head of Para Sport
Loughborough University is looking for an individual to lead our para sport strategy. You will be passionate about creating life-shaping opportunities through the development of an inspirational and inclusive para sport offer. You will understand the unique role that sport can play for those with a disability as well as in changing attitudes towards disability.
As a university, we recognise societal and institutional barriers in place that work against the recruitment, development, and progression of careers for those with protected characteristics. In addition, given the specific nature of this role, we are actively encouraging individuals with a disability to apply for this post.
Working as part of a large leadership team you will bring substantial experience plus the energy to continue to drive our para sport offer forward. Applications from those with NGB or other experiences outside higher education are also actively encouraged.
This role will work closely with colleagues across the University, our students and those in the para sport community to continue to provide more and better sporting opportunities to those with a disability from recreational and social levels through to elite performance.
This a rare opportunity to be part of a unique multi-sport performance development environment where innovation and creativity are actively encouraged.
