Director of Quality Assurance & Enhancement

The Director of Quality Assurance & Enhancement will lead the QAE team and be responsible for ensuring that QAE standards are maintained. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a crucial part in the development of new approaches to QAE, helping to realise every student’s potential as well as meeting the ambitious aims of our refreshed Strategy. The Director of Quality Assurance & Enhancement will be responsible for developing processes that are innovative but mindful of regulatory obligations towards excellence.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an outlook that accords with the University's vision and values. They will be a rigorous leader with a forward looking, innovative approach. A track record of demonstrable impact and the ability to inspire and motivate is a must.

We are keen to from candidates who will bring the following skill and experience:

  • Recent, relevant substantial experience of regulatory frameworks, quality assurance and enhancement in UK HE sector, gained at a senior level.
  • A strong and successful track record in leading and implementing major strategic, and multi stakeholder projects.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and manage a team at a senior level in a strategic area, ideally gained in a university.
  • Experience in a senior leadership role, managing cross-organisation administrative functions.
  • Ability to drive optimisation and the achievement of institutional and departmental targets.
  • Significant experience in leading short, mid and long term strategic business planning, budget planning and control.
