Postgraduate Teaching Bursary Awards

Financial support for PGCE Secondary trainee teachers is available. You could get a £25,000 tax-free bursary while you train. Check your eligibility for financial support, and find out more about the awards available.

Further financial support in the form of maintenance and tuition fee loans is available for all subjects from the Department for Education.

As one of the UK's leading centres for research and teaching in education, UEA’s 38-week, full-time Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) Primary and Secondary Teacher Training programmes have been developed in close partnership with schools across East Anglia. We offer both School Direct and University-led routes. Our training will provide you with skills and resilience for a rewarding teaching career.
