BA (Hons) Fine Art is a studio-based programme that provides students with the platform to confidently enter the professional world of the artist and arts professional. Students will actively investigate the breadth of approaches and practices in contemporary fine art. The programme is taught by professional artists that are actively engaged in contemporary practice and research.

The diversity of approach and investigation creates a distinctive group of staff and students that engage with and question a divergent range of approaches to studio practice and externally engaged projects. Fine Art is by far the largest curriculum offer within The Department of Art and Performance at Manchester School of Art. The department also consists of Art History, Curating, Performance and Acting areas as well as an large Ofsted outstanding Foundation Diploma in Art & Design. Fine Art at Manchester has recorded high level national league table positions and along with Design features in the QS World Ranking tables.

About the role:

In recognition of staff contributions to the University's achievements during the 2021/2022 academic year, an additional discretionary payment of 2% per annum will be added to your salary until 31/07/23 in order to ensure consistency amongst existing and incoming staff.  This additional 2% will be paid pro rata in equal monthly instalments, on top of your salary each month until 31/07/23.
