Visiting Lecturer (Hourly Paid) Creative Arts - Game Design Short Courses

Rate of pay:  VL Rate C - £25.02 per hour, plus 17.66% accrued holiday per total value

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

The School of Creative Arts, at the University of Hertfordshire are looking for new visiting lecturers to work within our Short Course provision. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic with a can do attitude and have their own professional practice. Tutors are required to have technical experience at a high level to join our Short Course team, will bring a strong understanding of their discipline and be able to design and develop teaching and learning materials appropriate to the required standard.

We are particularly looking for tutors for courses in Game Design, with knowledge in the following software for our summer schools and Saturday courses.

  • Python
  • Unity
  • Blender
  • Sketchup
  • Unreal engine

All positions are part time – An indicative timetable is as follows;

Saturdays from 10.00 to 15.30

Summer holidays Monday - Friday from 10.00 to 15.30

The age ranges are from 9-12 and 13-15/17

Skills/Qualifications Required:

Under-Graduate degree and or Post-Graduate degree or equivalent is desirable – practical teaching experience is essential.
