The Oxford Vaccine Group (OVG) is a leading clinical research group based at the Centre for Clinical Vaccinology & Tropical Medicine at the Churchill Hospital, led by Professor Sir Andrew Pollard. OVG is part of the Department of Paediatrics and conduct studies into new and improved vaccines for adults and children. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Trial Monitor and Quality Assurance Manager to join OVG’s established Quality Assurance team.
Responsibilities include preparation of protocol risk assessments, trial monitoring plans and supporting documents, conducting monitoring visits in hospitals and medical facilities in the UK, provide training to OVG staff, contribute to the on-going development of innovative monitoring methodology within OVG and support OVG staff conducting clinical trials.
You will liaise closely with OVG’s experienced research staff including other monitors, research nurses, project managers, clinicians, statisticians, laboratory staff, as well as the QA team, and will report directly to the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance Lead.
You will be required to travel to clinical trial sites throughout the UK. There may also be opportunities to travel to trial sites in other countries where OVG conduct research. The proportion of time spent travelling will vary month to month depending on the particular needs of each trial.
This is a full-time fixed-term appointment for two years in the first instance, but has the potential to be extended based on the availability of further funding.
