This is a career-defining opportunity to join Kingston Business School, where we press for creativity, impact and excellence in what we do as a team. You’ll join a group of academics that take responsibility for delivering impactful research and excellent teaching that supports the University’s mission to develop sought-after students.

We are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor whose research and expertise align with digital innovation and the emerging technologies applied in modern marketing. Specific areas of application include but are not limited to creativity, marketing communication, services marketing, customer experience, retailing, product innovation and marketing analytics.

You’ll be a leader in the provision of high-quality teaching, research, enterprise and/or professional practice to the benefit of a diverse range of students and stakeholders. You’ll supervise research students and undertake your own research and knowledge exchange challenges.

The Person

Applicants should either have completed their doctorate in a Marketing related field or have the equivalent professional experience. Special consideration will be given to applicants with a track record of producing scholarly research in high-quality journals and research impact. Experience with engaging with external funding and industry is a plus.

Our academics engage in excellent teaching, supervise postgraduate and doctoral student projects, participate in the University’s recruitment initiatives, including Open Days, and provide pastoral support as a Personal Tutor to an allocated group of students.

Applicants must have a solid commitment to continuous professional development, collaborating with interdisciplinary colleagues to enhance the School’s local, national and international reputation. If you haven’t already achieved the relevant level of UKPSF teaching recognition (UKPSF Descriptor 2 - Fellow, or Descriptor 3 - Senior Fellow), we’ll need you to do so before the end of your probation period.

This is a full-time permanent position, with a starting salary of £55,892 per annum.
