Leading our Curriculum Team

BPP Law School is seeking to appoint an individual with a passion for delivering excellence in teaching, learning and assessment as a Head of Curriculum and Development. Alongside a peer group of other Heads of Curriculum and Development, each responsible for an aspect of our curriculum, the role will jointly lead an experienced Curriculum Team of Module Leaders as they deliver, design, review and enhance the Law School’s curriculum.

What you’ll be doing

This role provides an opportunity for wide ranging leadership within a Higher Education setting working with colleagues across the Law School to provide an outstanding, accessible, and inclusive curriculum that builds a motivation and appetite to learn, whilst making a significant and positive contribution to a student’s overall experience.

The role is part of the Programme Leadership team led by the Director of Programmes.  You will support the Director of Programmes in developing and delivering excellence in teaching, learning and assessment. You will be part of a mutually supportive and experienced leadership team of Heads of Curriculum and Development and Award Leaders who, individually and collectively, work with the wider Law School teams to deliver the Law School’s curriculum as well as develop and enhance our portfolio of programmes. There will also be opportunities within the role to work on wider Law School Projects that will enhance the student experience across the Law School.  The role may involve working with our law firm clients in the design and development of law programmes for their employees.

Choose a better work-life balance

With hybrid working available, you’ll be able to split your time between one of our centres and wherever you choose to call home. Either way, you’ll benefit from a vibrant workplace and a culture that believes in looking after others, while being part of a diverse workforce where difference is celebrated. In addition, you’ll work alongside other like-minded professionals who champion progress, while having opportunities to develop in an environment where creativity and innovation is rewarded.

On top of a competitive salary, we provide a generous annual leave entitlement of 30 days, and there’s a rewards package that includes retail discounts, Group Personal Pension Plan, dedicated healthcare and dental plans that offer additional assurance to look after you and your family. Brilliantly, you can also study any of BPP’s courses for free – be it a professional qualification or full degree.

What we’re looking for

You will be a highly capable and effective leader with a passion for innovation in teaching, learning and assessment. You will have strong operational and project management skills which will be used to plan and deliver assessments, updating, design, development, and enhancement of the Law School’s curriculum. In addition, you will have attention to detail and a knowledge and understanding of the importance of academic quality and regulatory standards.
