An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Occupational Health Adviser (OHNA) to join our small but busy team. The Occupational Health Service (OHS) is part of the University Occupational Health and Safety Service and is responsible for the development of occupational health support, compliance and support services for staff and studentships throughout the University and Departments.
Applicants should have a General Nurse qualification and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. The position will require the successful applicant to work as an Occupational Health Nurse Adviser and to have attained a postgraduate nursing qualification (degree, diploma or certificate) in Occupational Health.
Where a suitable candidate does not yet hold a postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Nursing, the OHS is in a position to appoint at Grade 7 (salary £34,308-£42,155 pro rata for 28 hours per week). The necessary training and support will be provided to the applicant in order to attain the postgraduate qualification. This will be subject to course commencement dates within the first two years of employment. Once the postgraduate qualification has been attained, the appropriate salary grade shall be applied.
As an Occupational Health Nurse Adviser, the successful applicant will work alongside colleagues to provide advice and support to staff and students through referrals, health surveillance and work and travel related immunisation.
