The School of Business is looking to appoint an outstanding economist as part of a major expansion in the development of its research and teaching. Applicants are encouraged from those with an applied background in International Economics or International Business.
We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join us as a Senior Lecturer to enhance the excellence in teaching, research and public engagement activities in International Economics or Business within the School of Business. The successful candidate would be ex! pected a member of the Economics subject group and would be expected to take on leadership roles within the discipline and School and to take an active role in the teaching, design and leadership of our taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes - which include our successful MSc programme in International Business, MA/BSc degrees in Economics, Financial Economics, Business Economics and International Business, and a successful MSc in Internationa! l Busines s - as well as in the collaborative Scottish Graduate
Programme in Economics and a new MSc in Business Analytics. In addition to teaching excellence the successful candidate would be expected to carry out independent research at the highest level, publishing in high quality research journals and presenting work at major international conferences. Since the School is also focused on impact beyond the Academy, it is also likely that the success! ful candi date would be able to make a strong contribution in that field.
The successful candidate should ideally have a proven track record in generating overhead bearing research income to help demonstrate the quality of their research and impact.
