The University of Warwick is one of the world’s leading Universities with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset. We operate out of a world-class campus situated in the heart of England. Expanding our Business Partnership capabilities are a key part of realising our vision. To this end we are recruiting for a Bid Development Officer role to drive the growth and depth of our Business Partnerships both in the UK and globally.
This is an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join the Business Partnerships team, a collegiate, vibrant and dynamic department that provides a vital contribution in supporting Warwick’s Business Partnership development activity. We are looking for an individual who shares our drive and ambition, are comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and working to deadlines.

This role would suit someone who values variety in their day to day work and the opportunity to quickly gain wide ranging experience.
The role will provide expert support to academic staff and other professional colleagues to develop competitive tender / bid responses. This shall include for example support to academics on the development of business partnership proposals, negotiation of contractual terms and conditions, cost and price calculations, general advice in regard to Intellectual Property, ethics and governance.
We collaborate with organisations to create innovative and transformational partnerships that deliver measurable mutual impact and grow over time. You should therefore have a proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including key administrators in other departments, external businesses, representing the University’s interests at all times and to have a good track record in building productive relationships.
You will be a highly motivated, committed team member who can demonstrate an ability to work flexibly and accurately under pressure, often to tight deadlines. Prior experience of working with academic departments will be highly advantageous.
