The Optometry Programme, within the School of Health Professions at the University of Plymouth, is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our group and be part of our teaching and research activities.
You will work as part of the Optometry team to provide innovative teaching including; the design and preparation of teaching materials, course planning and delivery, and assessment. We are proud to be ranked as one of the top programmes for student satisfaction in the most recent National Student Survey.
Experience of clinical practice as an Optometrist, and registration with the General Optical Council, are essential for the role. As part of our Eye & Vision research group you will have the opportunity to contribute to our research programme and to publications and grant funding applications if applicable.
Please note, it is typical for applicants with no prior lecturing experience to start towards the lower end of the advertised scale.

We have vacancies for:
Position 1 - part-time position working 14.8 hours per week on a permanent basis.
Position 2 - part-time position working 11.1 hours per week and is fixed-term to cover a period of maternity leave which is anticipated to be for approximately 12 months.
Position 3 – part-time position working 14.8 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for a period of 24 months to cover a period of absence.
