The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), which is under the College of Engineering, aspires to be a leading school for Sustainable Urban Systems. Currently, it has over 50 faculty members and more than 1,500 students, and is rapidly expanding its range of educational and research activities. Its faculty has led major university-wide strategic research thrusts in space creation, water engineering and sustainable built environment. Going forward, CEE is addressing the continuous improvement in urban infrastructure such as building structures and energy systems, sustainability of urban cities, and resiliency to natural and unnatural risks. 

To fuel further development, we invite applications for Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) position in the areas of Coastal Protection Engineering.

Applicants would need to have an earned PhD degree in in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely-related field with strong interdisciplinary expertise in areas such as coastal engineering, environmental fluid mechanics, and hydraulic engineering. Previous strong academic credential in the above areas will be preferred. Candidates should also demonstrate strong and relevant teaching ability and have excellent communication skills. In addition, candidates with experience in the industry as well as qualifications to become a professional engineer in Singapore will have an advantage. Postdoctoral experience is highly desirable.
