The Oxford Department of International Development is seeking an experienced Research and Grants Officer to lead on the Department’s portfolio of post-award project management, working closely with the Research and Grants Manager and the Department’s Finance Team.
The postholder will be embedded in the Research and Grant team and will take a leading role in research post-award activities, including providing administrative support and advice to Principal Investigators, researchers and administrative colleagues on the management of their grants. The role will also entail liaising with the Social Sciences Division, Central Finance, Research Services, Oxford University Consulting, and external sponsors, to provide the best post-award service to our Department.
The postholder will have a high level of initiative, excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to manage large amounts of information. They must have effective interpersonal skills at all levels and an ability to communicate confidently and appropriately with an extensive range of people. They must have a customer-focused approach to the work, including the ability to provide accurate advice and information in a timely manner. The post will suit someone who is highly organised and efficient, numerate, and computer-literate.
This is a full-time, permanent post.
