Faculty
You will join the faculty of Business and Law (BAL) - a large Faculty that comprises two leading professional schools: Leicester Castle Business School (LCBS) and Leicester De Montfort Law School (LDLS). This year, the Faculty has been restructured to create two large Schools within the Business School: The School of Accounting, Finance and Economics and the School of Leadership, Management and Marketing. The Faculty is strongly focussed on 3 areas of activity: Excellent Learning & Teaching; Impactful Research, and Enterprise Development with cross-cutting themes of sustainability, internationalisation, and public good.

The Role
In your new role as Head of the School of Accounting, Finance and Economics, you will report in to the Deputy Dean and will be a part of the faculty’s senior leadership team. You will be providing strategic leadership by way of policy and decision-making building upon existing academic, professional and research strengths in the school.
In your new role, you will lead and manage cross-school initiatives and support the PVC/Dean in ensuring the faculty is a successful, innovative and inclusive learning and research environment in which staff and students will thrive. You will develop and strategic plans and goals - inclusive of plans for teaching and learning, research and commercial activity.
What you will need to succeed
As Head of School of Accounting, Finance and Economics, you will hold a relevant PhD or have equivalent experience within the field. You must possess and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of higher education and policies and have experience within a senior management role. You will also have experience with professional and regulatory bodies.
