The School of Science is part of the highly successful Faculty of Engineering and Science which boasts an international focus that fits perfectly with today’s global priorities. It offers dynamic courses that combine academic learning with hands-on experience, preparing students for successful science and leadership roles. The faculty is located on the beautiful Medway, Maritime campus in Chatham. With a rich naval history, the campus boasts amazing learning spaces with state-of-the art laboratories and lecture theatres.

We are looking for someone to support the Head of Science by providing strategic and operational leadership for the School, acting as an adaptable advocate for change, capable of setting and meeting challenging targets and with the ability to influence staff to deliver strategic priorities.
The successful candidate will have experience at senior management level within education or an industry-based organisation of comparable size and complexity, they must also hold a PhD or equivalent professional practice in a relevant subject.
