The Department of Psychology, Sociology & Politics at Sheffield Hallam University is looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology, on either a full-time or a part-time basis, to join the Psychology subject group, to offer specialist expertise in forensic psychology-related areas. We especially encourage applications from current forensic psychology practitioners seeking a fractional lectureship role.
The primary role for the postholders is to join the existing forensic psychology staff in the department and to play an active part in the delivery and development of innovative teaching and learning experiences for students on the MSc Forensic Psychology course (which has been designed to meet the British Psychological Society's Stage 1 training requirements), and for students studying forensic psychology modules within the wider undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.
You will also undertake module leadership, assessment duties, pastoral tutorial support, dissertation supervision and other related duties, and have the ability to design and deliver transformative and innovative learning experiences.
You will be expected to contribute to research and other forms of scholarly activity as a member of the Centre for Behavioural Science and Applied Psychology (CeBSAP). You must have completed, or be close to completion of, a PhD or Professional Doctorate in Forensic Psychology (or equivalent qualification, as confirmed by NARIC) and/or have gained HCPC registration as a Practitioner Forensic Psychologist.
For this job we particularly welcome applications from minority ethnic applicants who are underrepresented in this area and this type of job at Sheffield Hallam
The University may be able to sponsor the employment of international applicants in this role; this will depend on a number of factors specific to the individual applicant.
We welcome applications for job-share, part-time and flexible working arrangements.
