Duties of the Role
The Head of Operations and Strategic Planning (HOSP) works in strategic partnership with the Dean of EBS and the Faculty Manager for Social Sciences, and is responsible for the leadership and delivery of Professional Services activities within the School. This includes providing leadership and management of professional services functions, high-level management and strategic advice to the EBS Dean, and financial and human resources management. You will act as the key interface between the School, the Faculty Manager, and the University’s professional services more broadly. The role is incredibly varied and no one day looks the same – which makes it particularly rewarding.

You will possess a creative and innovative approach, and have an excellent understanding of the major Higher Education policy issues and their implications for the University. You will have a strong track record of success in a senior leadership and management role within a complex organisation, and be experienced in successfully developing and implementing ambitious strategic and development plans. You will be an excellent communicator who enjoys a challenge and strives for success, and have the ability to build effective teams and develop strong working relationships with academic and professional services colleagues.
