Innovation Advisor (Fixed Term)

The University of Bath is seeking an Innovation Advisor to join the SETsquared Scale-Up Programme! 

About the role 

The University of Bath has funding from the Research England Connecting Capability Fund as part of the SETsquared Scale-Up Programme. SETsquared is a world-leading university-business network, directly linked to the research talent and expertise of six partner universities – Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey. 

The Scale-Up Programme supports innovative, ambitious businesses to grow rapidly by linking them with the academic expertise of the partner universities.

The role is offered a full time fixed term basis with an expected end date of 30/06/2023. Part time hours (a minimum of 2 days per week) or a job share may be considered.

As the Innovation Advisor for the SETsquared Scale-Up Programme for the University of Bath, you will be the facilitator and engager between University of Bath academic researchers and small and medium sized businesses in the SETsquared Scale-Up Programme, securing funded collaborative research and innovation projects.

About you 

To do this you need to have excellent bid management, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. We would like to hear from you if you have the following: 

• Relevant experience of supporting successful business led research and innovation applications, in particular Innovate UK funded applications.
• Proven experience in facilitating academic/industry collaborations.
• Experience of delivery and credibility within an industry-university interface role
