The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to join the School of Chemistry within the Faculty of Science has become available. The Research Fellow will work on an Australian Research Council-funded project, “Medium temperature electrolysis for low-cost carbon dioxide utilization”. This role will focus on developing medium-temperature electrolysers to efficiently utilise carbon dioxide at a low cost.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research under limited supervision. You will also engage in experimental design and operation of advanced instruments. The Research Fellow may have the opportunity to attend conferences and seminars and will provide advice to postgraduate research students.
The successful candidate will have a doctoral qualification in Electrochemistry and a strong publication record. Analytical skills and strong expertise in electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 are required for success in this role. The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in PEM fuel cells/electrolysers, ideally high-temperature ones.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
