Project details
This group is multidisciplinary, bringing together expertise in management sciences and operational research, business analytics, operations management and decision making. The group is committed to improving management practice by designing and implementing analytic approaches that help tackle routine, strategic and policy problems. These approaches are typically supported by models that can often be represented mathematically or visually and built using specialist software.
Research priority areas
Within the Management Science and Operations academic group we are especially keen to receive PhD research proposals in the following areas:

Entry requirements
At least a 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent international qualification) with a preference for a UK master's degree (with average programme mark of no less than 65%) or international equivalent.
English language requirements
IELTS band 7.0 or above with not less than 7.0 in each component.
Funding
The studentship is for 3 years and provides a minimum tax free stipend of £17,668 per annum for the duration of the studentship plus tuition fees.
Please note that studentships will be awarded on a competitive basis to applicants who have applied within the School. Funding decisions will not be confirmed until early 2023.
