The role of the Science Technician is to support and develop experiments and practical lessons mainly in a small combined Biology and Chemistry Laboratory for HNC/HND and A Level. This includes supporting the teaching staff in all areas of applied sciences and supervising student learning activities.

Terms/Conditions:

12  months contract [Part-Time (HPT) ] with possible renewal 

 PT:2-3 days per week (HPT)  [including Saturdays]

Responsibilities will include the preparation of workshop apparatus/equipment and materials as required, advising and assisting in the preparation of practical`s and controlled assessments, maintenance and cleaning of equipment after use. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to supervise and assist students during lessons, working with the class teacher to develop and deliver lessons.

Qualifications Required

Degree in Chemistry or Biology, Biomedical Sciences  or Natural Sciences or equivalent
