HBKU’s College of Law delivers four innovative degree programs (Juris Doctor (J.D.), LL.M. in International Law and Foreign Affairs, LL.M. in International Economic and Business Law, and Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.), which meet educational needs in the legal field for Qatar, the region, and beyond.
Position
The College of Law invites applications for the full-time faculty position of Assistant Professor. Candidates should have an outstanding record in research in any of the following areas: commercial law, intellectual property law, civil procedure, legal drafting, and legal research methods. The successful candidate is expected to develop an internationally-recognized research program in their area of expertise and teach HBKU Law students.

HBKU Law works within a collaborative environment with partner universities within Qatar Foundation (e.g. Georgetown University in Qatar and Weill-Cornell Medicine in Qatar) and other institutions, such as the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre, the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
