Escalating global upheaval suggests that old institutional models and paradigms of international governance are unfit for purpose. Investigating global conditions and trends pertaining to global economic and political risk, global health, diplomacy, or social movements (anti-/democratic, populist, extremist) and how these are changing the nature of global governance and democracy is urgent. Our aim is to illuminate how and why the contemporary socio-economic and political international context is changing, what new models are needed today, and the implications of these changes for a broad range of topics, such as patterns of work, sustainability, sport, or migration.
Loughborough University London offers an internationally-recognised faculty of academics with teaching expertise and relevant active research.
This project is fully funded, covering fees and stipend. We welcome applications from international candidates.
