The University of York School for Business and Society (SBS) is a newly formed interdisciplinary department, bringing together two growing and successful departments: the University of York Management School and the Department of Social Work and Social Policy.
We have an ambitious vision to become the natural home within the UK for world-leading social policy and social care scholars who work alongside experts in other academic disciplines as well as their own. We actively encourage and help our colleagues to collaborate widely across campus and beyond.
The Role
We are seeking to appoint a new Research Professor/Reader to our dynamic and buoyant social care research group. Fundamental to this core group are underpinning programmes of work such as The NIHR School for Social Care Research membership and the Curiosity Partnership. This group collaborates extensively across the School, Faculty and wider Institution with strong collaborations with other national and international researchers and practitioners. Your role will be to provide leadership and direction to the group aimed at the delivery of high-quality research. You will be joining a thriving community of academics who are leaders in their fields, and who are committed to excellence in research and research impact.
