We wish to recruit a highly productive, motivated and ambitious health psychologist to lead the Aberdeen Health Psychology Group which is a key part of the Institute of Applied Health Sciences (IAHS) leading and supporting medical and health research in a wide range of priority areas.  This is an outstanding opportunity for a candidate with a proven track record in winning grants, leading a research group, publishing in high impact journals and providing academic leadership in research and teaching. 

Aberdeen has a rare combination of internationally recognised strengths in biomedical and population-based research and robust partnerships exist between clinical academics, medical scientists, health service researchers and colleagues in the healthcare professions in primary and secondary care.   

The post will be based within the Institute of Applied Health Sciences (IAHS); one of five Institutes within the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition on the Foresterhill campus. 

Readers will be appointed at the appropriate point on the Grade 8 scale, £54,949 - £61,823 per annum, which is negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

Professors will be offered a competitive salary which is negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
