Your required hours of work are 40 hours per week. The business operations are Mon-Thurs, 9am - 9pm and Fri - Sun, 9am - 6pm

Overall purpose

The Head of Graduate Outcomes will progress good graduate outcomes for all Regent students, co-defined with students and graduates, and inclusive of graduate employment, wellbeing, quality of life, lifelong learning and social mobility. A key focus of the role will be to ensure successful progression for Regent students in line with appropriate regulatory requirements. S/he will collaborate across the College to ensure that employability is embedded in the culture and curriculum to achieve an excellent and high-quality experience for all our students that maximises their employability.

Specific duties and responsibilities

  • Establish and deliver a Graduate Outcomes and employability service across the College that serves students until 18 months post-graduation.
  • Lead the College’s enhancement plan for graduate employment, pursuing effective approaches to develop students’ progression to graduate employment, and working closely with the Director of Education Services / Deputy Provost / Heads of School.
  • In partnership with the Director of Education Services / Deputy Provost and Heads of Schools, ensure that institutional approaches to, and support for, graduate employability are effective, evidence based and lead to high graduate employment.
  • Design and implement an appropriate centralised hub for employment for Regent graduates and employers
  • Lead the development of an effective and realistic institutional model for integrated coaching, to work at large scale, throughout students’ studies. 
  • Lead the development of the lifelong learning agenda and contribute to the development of lifewide learning. 
  • Ensure that differential outcomes are addressed for graduates sharing different equality characteristics. 
  • Engage with external stakeholders to develop RCL position as a leading institution for graduate outcomes. 
  • Lead and embed the improvement of the quality of institutional data about graduate outcomes, including piloting of new indices, development of predictive or leading indicators, and ensuring optimal response rates for the national Graduate Outcomes survey and other key surveys. 
  • Provide briefings on the progress and impact of employability activity. Use data-driven insights to shape future employability provision.
  • Contribute to the development of the course portfolio to ensure that future workforce needs, and macro societal trends are reflected in curricula.
  • Working with stakeholders across the institution and externally in order to meet appropriate progression targets.
  • Ensure effective collaboration across Schools, professional services, and external organisations to shape and deliver goals for graduate outcomes.
  •  Inform College policy and the assurance of quality for:
    • assessed work experience and placement learning.
    • OfS condition of registration B3, as regards to outcomes for graduates. 
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic and effective engagement with employers and professional bodies. 
  • Represent the graduate outcomes agenda at internal and external forums
