Change your career, change lives
The Open University is the UK’s largest university, a world leader in flexible part-time education combining a mission to widen access to higher education with research excellence, transforming lives through education.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the operational management of the Open University’s Health, Wellbeing and Social Care modules, qualifications and professional programmes.
With responsibility for managing and co-ordinating academic-related and administrative support activities, the Faculty Co-ordinator will facilitate the delivery of services to Health and Social Care students and to Associate Lecturers. You will be a member of a virtual team supporting lecturers and students across the UK. You will support the management of Associate Lecturers and the allocation of students to them. You will be responsible with AL Services for arrangements for tutorials and day schools. You will be the first point of contact for students and Associate Lecturers in your curriculum area.
About the role
These posts are open to expressions of interest from Staff Tutors and external applicants who are able to travel extensively throughout the UK.
The posts include responsibility for the academic development and assessment of new nursing partnerships in England. The post holders will work closely with, and will be the first point of call with, the Business Development Unit to progress new potential partnerships.
The two posts will be based in the South West and the North and are initially fixed term. The postholder will also be responsible for one other region in England. Because of the need to work with potential partners face-to-face applicants should be based in one of these regions. The postholder will be expected to travel throughout the home and other regions and to travel occasionally to Milton Keynes and other parts of the UK.
Successful candidates will also require an enhanced DBS check.
