The College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences is seeking to appoint a Department Administration Assistant for the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
This is an interesting and wide-ranging position that supports the Department Administrator in providing excellent administrative support and proactively responding to daily enquiries from members of academic staff, Head of Department, professional services and students, by email, online and in person.
The successful candidate will directly support the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department Administrator in activities such as administrative and secretarial support, raising purchase orders, submitting expense claims, organising, taking minutes of meetings and assisting with recruitment processes. Additionally they will be a focal point for the department and provide administrative support for department related conferences/events. The person will be very proactive, able to work unsupervised, show initiative & diplomacy, have excellent diary management skills with good attention to detail and must have experience of a similar administrative role.
