If you are passionate about increasing sport and physical activity for university students and encouraging participation from the many and diverse parts of the NTU community, this is an amazing opportunity to join us at NTU Sport. We are committed to offering high quality sporting opportunities to all.
We are looking for an experienced and innovative Head of Sport Development, who will form a key part of the NTU Sport leadership team. The role will lead the department’s work in the areas of sports participation, diversity and inclusion, sports volunteering, and engaging with hard-to-reach segments of the NTU community.
You will take a leading role in pushing forward the department’s ambition to create a culture where regular participation in physical activity is the norm, thereby making a significant contribution to the wellbeing and academic achievement of students at NTU. We aim to have at least 70% of our students involved in regular activity by 2025.
NTU Sport also takes competitive sport seriously; the University is ranked in the top 10 of over 150 Universities in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) league table and aspires to continue in its strong upward trajectory.
About You
A proven leader and sports development professional, you will have experience of working in a higher education environment, ideally within a sports role. You will have strong interpersonal and influencing skills; you will also have the ability to create and build effective relationships with internal and external partners. Your written and verbal communication skills will be excellent and you will have experience of managing budgets.
Alongside your application, please submit a concise supporting statement that clearly shows you have the attributes and competencies outlined in the person specification.
Interview: Thursday 16 February
