A unique opportunity has arisen to appoint an experienced Data Services Client Manager to act as a conduit between the data teams and researchers within world-class Clinical Research services for the University of Auckland, hosted by the Liggins Institute. The Data Services Client Manager is the primary point of contact for the data services arm for the Human Health Research Services Platform research services platform.
This is a fulltime, permanent position.
This role is key to ensuring the data platform remains a high-quality service for the researchers and clients, meeting their needs and specifications. You will lead a team of 3-4 autonomous, technical individuals having oversight of their portfolio of projects and the strategic growth of the data services division of the platform.

Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with university clients and technical teams. Your understanding and exposure to both the clinical research and data systems will enable this.
Experience operating in an Academic institution is ideal, particularly in human health research/cancer trials. Managing expectations on deliverables is essential for performing in the position.

The Liggins Institute was the University’s first Large Scale Research Institute. It is a world-leading centre for translational research on fetal and child health, the impact of nutrition on health throughout life, genomic and epigenomic regulation of growth and development and clinical trials in maternal and perinatal health. The Institute is home to a number of highly specialised clinical research services, including trial coordination and follow up, a clinical research unit, as well as the University’s Clinical Research Data Platform.
