The Department of Biosciences and Chemistry is looking to recruit a lecturer in Analytical Chemistry to deliver research informed teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate, chemistry and bioscience degree programmes, including our foundation year. You will be an enthusiastic and committed individual, who is able to contribute towards current portfolio redesign discussions and create a vibrant, engaging learning experience for our students.
Our department delivers BSc and MSc courses in chemical and biological sciences, with strong focus on analytical science. As a community of scientists, we are committed to excellence in teaching and research, driving transformative learning experiences for our students. Your role will involve all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment, including preparation, lecturing, tutorials and assessment, as well as teaching of laboratory classes.

Applicants should have a PhD and/or professional experience as a scientist in the chemical or industrial science sector.
If you have a research background, you will also be expected to contribute research outcomes in an area aligned to the key research themes of the Biomolecular Sciences Research Centre (BMRC). These will enhance the research centre profile through publication of high-quality research, income generation and/or knowledge transfer activities.
