We are recruiting for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience in equine nursing, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work as part of a dedicated team across our Medicine, Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Services within The R(D)SVS Equine Hospital.
The post holder will join our team of seven equine nurses in Scotland’s largest and most advanced equine hospital, supported by a large multidisciplinary team. Working in a new surgical facility with a selection of equipment unrivalled in this country, this is a unique opportunity for a nurse looking to develop their career.
Responsibilities to include theatre nursing for standing surgeries and surgeries performed under general anaesthesia, support in lameness investigations, advanced diagnostic imaging and stock control. The post-holder will work independently to organise and prioritise daily/weekly workload and will contribute to teaching veterinary students. Out of hours working may be required.
RVN is essential but not necessarily in equine, we require a competent horse handler, along with excellent nursing and interpersonal skills.
