Cardiff University wishes to recruit a Research Associate to work on a project ‘Overcoming scale-mismatch for designing and governing treescape expansion to benefit people and nature’. As the Research Associate you will work within an interdisciplinary team of researchers investigating how treescape expansion, in combination with other land use/management changes, can deliver a net zero UK land sector. You will be expected to conduct research within environmental policy and governance on different stakeholder interests and how the expansion of treescapes can be designed and governed across local, regional, and national scales to achieve the best outcomes for people and nature. Alongside you will contribute to the overall research performance of the School and University, leading to the publishing of high-quality research and to pursue excellence in research and to inspire others to do the same.
This is a full-time post, 35 hours per week, fixed term from 1st February 2023 to 31st January 2025.
Salary: £35,333 - £42,155 per annum (Grade 6)
Responsible to Professor Susan Baker, Principal Investigator.
