We are seeking an outstanding individual to contribute to teaching, consultancy, and research in IoT and smart applications development. The successful candidate would contribute to the delivery of our newly validated BSc Smart Computing course; excellent programming skills, and experience developing cloud-based distributed systems integrating data management and IoT devices are thus essential. You will join a large and vibrant Computing Department that actively engages in teaching, research, and commercial consultancy. The Department delivers practical knowledge, skills and solutions that meet the needs of employers and society that are consistent with the University’s desire to be the leading applied university in the UK.
You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality learning experience to students and contributing to the development of new and exciting courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. As well as the ability to inspire, enthuse and connect with a range of stakeholders e.g., students and external clients from a wide range of backgrounds, you'll need well-developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues of IoT and Smart Computing. You must also have a Master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience and expertise.
