The University for the Creative Arts (UCA) seeks to appoint an experienced academic in games or a closely related field, to become Programme Director for our highly regarded and expanding programme of games courses at our Farnham Campus.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with creativity, skill, enthusiasm and experience, to join the UK’s top creative specialist institution and to lead our games provision as we further develop the programme, grow our research, expand our connections with industry and develop our professional networks in the region and globally.

You will have a profile that includes good honours and postgraduate degrees, research or professional experience and keen understanding of current issues in higher education.
You will be highly organised, with excellent administrative skills and, ideally, with experience of building effective teams. Through excellent line management and leadership skills, you will motivate, direct and inspire your team. Your experience will enable you to work collaboratively with the School Management Team to lead and support the wider strategic activities of the School and the University in terms of portfolio development, recruitment and research.
As an educator, you will have a passion for the development and enhancement of games education with an enthusiasm for tradition, innovation, interdisciplinary and collaborative practices. You will have a critical understanding of the social, cultural, economic and environmental factors in higher education, including decolonising practices, mental health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion.
