Warsash Maritime School is looking to appoint a Course Leader Nautical Science to lead and manage the daily operations of our excellent teaching team.
Warsash Maritime School is the home of one of the world’s leading institutes offering maritime education, training, research and consultancy to the marine/maritime industry and within the School we are particularly proud of the heritage of our cadet education.
We are looking for a highly experienced and inspirational leader with a track record of managing and leading a dynamic and challenging programme of activities to tight deadlines and varying demands.
Applications are invited from anyone who has a detailed working knowledge of the UK MCA Cadet programme including all regulations and requirements as stipulated by MCA and MNTB, to support cadets to successfully complete their programme of study and training in nautical science, short and long course provision. You will be required to demonstrate a high level of knowledge in all the subjects area including ship stability, navigation, bridge management, and cargo operations.
The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate strong leadership skills, resilience, be a problem solver and team player, and have a strong desire to deliver the best student experience possible. A strong understanding of current pedagogy and identifying opportunities for embedding new ideas suitable for the cadet programme is essential.
