Clinical Tutor / Lecturer in Sport Rehabilitation
The School of Health and Sport Sciences at Liverpool Hope University is planning to expand on its successful and popular sport-related degree programmes. The appointed tutor will make a full contribution to the School of Health and Sport Sciences in terms of a demonstrable commitment to learning & teaching and associated activities towards supporting a diverse student population, and maximising their potential. You will be expected to coordinate clinical and specialist placement hours across the Sport rehabilitation degree. Applications are invited from candidates with a broad knowledge, experience, and specialism in Sport Physiotherapy/Rehabilitation. Having a clinical background in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy/rehabilitation will be an advantage.
You will provide an outstanding experience to students studying our successful Sport Rehabilitation programme (BSc), Sports, Medicine, Exercise and Health (MSc), and the Schools new provisions in the relevant field. The post will involve the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students, including clinical/vocational placements and dissertations. You will also contribute to the development and running of the on-site Physiotherapy and Sport Injury Clinic.
You will ideally hold an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification and be accredited by a relevant professional body (HCPC, CSP, BASRaT, or equivalent). If you do not hold M Level qualification, you will be required to complete a Master degree (Full-time or Part-time) within three years of your employment the cost of which would be incurred by the University. equivalent). PhD qualification and proven track record in research and publication is a requirement for “Lecturer” but not for Clinical Tutor appointment.

The availability of first-class equipment and facilities supported by dedicated technical staff provides numerous teaching and research opportunities for staff and students. You are expected to have good organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, a student-centred approach as well as continued professional development. This post would be ideal for practicing Sports/MSK Sport Rehabilitator or Physiotherapist with well-established clinical experience and an interest in joining the academia.
