Lancaster Environment Centre (Department) at Lancaster University is seeking to appoint a part time Postgraduate Research (PGR) Coordinator. As part of the Student Office Team, the role holder will support the delivery and administration of students and the student experience. Postgraduate research students come from varied backgrounds, will hold an undergraduate degree and work on a research project supervised by a dedicated supervision team. The Student Office Team, led by the Student Programmes Officer, provide support to staff and students across all Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes including PGR within the Department. Within the Team, Coordinators are each assigned lead (or core) responsibility for specific activities or year groups whilst being able to assist across the whole provision as required.

LEC is a large department with around 650 undergraduate students, 80 taught postgraduate students, 160 postgraduate research students, over 80 academic staff, 50 research staff and over 50 professional services staff (administration, business-facing and technical). LEC’s teaching and research focus on the environment, spanning across social and natural sciences.
