The University of Gloucestershire is looking to increase the technical support for our growing crime related courses including BSc Professional Policing, BSc Criminology, BSc Criminology and Psychology and BSc Forensic Psychology. This permanent post starting in March 2023 is an outstanding opportunity for you to shape our course provision and your career.
As a Technician in Criminology and Policing, you will develop and deliver support for teaching, assessment and research, with a focus on using audio visual equipment to aid staff teaching and provide excellent learning opportunities and support for students. You will also play a supporting role in ordering, preparing, and maintaining equipment. You’ll help to ensure the safe and effective operation of our crime scene and forensic facilities, undertaking and relaying risk assessments and providing training on equipment.
You will join our Criminology and Policing group in the School of Natural & Social Sciences. The team has a strong reputation for high-quality, research-informed teaching. The School of Natural & Social Sciences is in robust health, offering an extensive range of subjects and inter-disciplinary work. It is sited on the University’s Francis Close Hall Campus, in the attractive surrounds of Cheltenham and with the Cotswolds on our doorstep.
